Tracetec Pty Ltd (Tracetec) was established in 2001 to provide products and services associated with the recovery of stolen vehicles.

We make use of radio frequency technology for vehicle and asset recovery, which makes our product more affordable than other recovery systems on the market that make use of satellite tracking systems. Our device is completely independent of the vehicle’s operating system thus making it far more difficult for thieves to locate and remove. Our products can also be fitted into a wide variety of non-motorised assets, which has enabled us to expand our core business to include the tracking and recovery of non-motorised assets.

Tracetec has expanded its services in recent years to include fleet management services. Our fleet management products makes use of satellite technology, as this service requires real time data to be most effective. The company is now firmly established as a reputable stolen vehicle tracking and recovery company, and offer affordable product solutions in this market within South Africa.

Tracetec is also the first company in the industry to have its recovery rate, which is currently well over 90%, independently audited by an international firm of chartered accountants. Tracetec has a rapidly expanding client base, a well-established countrywide tracking network and a comprehensive support team of fitment centres, mobile fitters and recovery agents. We have an in-house research and development department, enabling us to provide custom-made products and services based on the individual needs of our clients. Tracetec also has a National Control Centre (NCC) which is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We partner closely with the authorities to affect arrests of perpetrators. Tracetec has also joined-up with established crime fighting partners to increase our tracking network coverage.
